RULES

    Ashes of War can be freely reassigned between weapons.

    The Spirit Calling Bell allows summoning spirits. You can get it at the
    Church of Elleh in Limgrave at night after getting the Spectral Steed.
    Later in the game, you can buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks in the
    Roundtable Hold.

    You can jump down into a Spirit Spring to avoid fall damage.

    The Guard Boost on a shield determines the damage enemy attacks do to your
    Stamina when blocking.

    Holy damage kills skeleton enemies without them resurrecting.

    Remembrances are 'Boss Souls'. You can get Enia (who's next to the Two
    Fingers monstrocity) to exchange them for equipment, or you can cash them
    in for 20,000 - 50,000 runes. Before doing so, you can duplicate them at a
    Walking Mausoleum. There are 7 Walking Mausoleums, and you can only use
    each once.

    Rune Arcs are like Humanities, they yield a stat bonus until you die. They
    can be farmed from Rats. Unlike Humanities, the bonus yielded by Rune Arcs
    depend upon which Great Rune you have equipped. Great Runes are dropped by
    the Demigods (main bosses), and need to be restored in a corresponding
    Divine Tower before they can be equipped.



CONTROLS

    Hold D-pad down to switch back to the first item.

    While mounted, you can switch to your left hand weapon/shield by
    Triangle+L1.

    Warp to Roundtable Hold from map screen by pressing triangle, square.



INCANTATIONS AND FAITH-BASED WEAPONS

    The 'Rotten Breath' Incantation inflicts Scarlet Rot. It can be purchased
    at Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid for a Dragon Heart.

    The 'Bestial Vitality' Incantation heals 601 HP over time. It is a
    Deathroot reward from Gurranq at Bestial Sanctum.

    The Remembrance from killing Rykard gives the Blasphemous Blade or a
    sorcery with high INT requirement. The Blasphemous Blade is an good Faith
    scaling Greatsword, which could be very interesting.



SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE

    To play Shadow of the Erdtree (SOTE), you need to have done the following:

      1. Defeat Starscourge Radahn.
      2. Defeat Mohg, Lord Of Blood.
      3. Touch the withered arm in Mohgwyn Palace. 

    SOTE has its own leveling system, based on Sadutree Fragments and Revered
    Spirits, that you should prioritize collecting:

      * Scadutree Fragments boost your damage dealt (up to 2.05x)
        and reduces damage taken (up to 0.487x).

      * Revered Spirit Ashes boost damage dealt by Ashes (up to 1.75x)
        and reduces damage taken by Ashes (up to 0.625x)

    1) Morgott's and Mohg's Great Runes are activated in the Divine Tower of
       East Altus, due east of the canopy of the great tree.
    2) Rykard's Great Rune is activated in the Divine Tower of West Altus,
       south of Leyndell.



BOSS TIPS

    Mohg, the Lord of Blood was tough, but I managed to make a reasonable
    strategy to defeat him:

    * I put on Lionel's Armor and Greaves, and the Stalwart Horn Charm +1
      for added Robustness (bleed resistance).

    * I mixed Opaline Bubbletear for damage resistance and Purifying Crystal
      Tear to counter Mohg's curse (this is essential)

    * I used Protection of the Erdtree

    * I created a clone using my Mimic Tear +7

    * I tried to dodge most of his attacks, and to stun him with jumping
      attacks with my Blasphemous Blade +9, which also helped me do ranged
      attacksand regain health with the Taker's Flame ability


RADAHN FESTIVAL

    Checklist:

    * Ask to serve Ranni the Witch in Ranni's Rise

    * Talk to Blaidd's spirit in Ranni's Rise

    * Talk to Blaidd close to the Spirit Spring where you can jump the giant
      columns in Siofra River

    * Ask Seluvis in Ranni's Rise about Nokron

    * Show Seluvis' letter to Sorceress Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins

    * Tell Sellen's story to Blaidd back in Siofra River

    * Go to Redmane Castle Plaza



RING OF OATH

    Checklist:

    * Find 'Fingerslayer Blade' in 'Nokron/Night's Sacred Ground'

    * Deliver Blade to Ranni to get 'Carian Inverted Statue'

    * Use Statue in Carian Study Hall to find 'Cursemark of Death'

    * From Renna's Raise, go to Ainsel  River Main and get 'Miniature Ranni'
      doll

    * Talk to Miniature

    * Go to 'Nokstella/Nokstella Waterfall Basin' and defeat Baleful Shadow,
      which gets the 'Discarded Palace Key'

    * Go to 'Raya Lucaria Grand Library' and open open chest next to Rennala
      to get the Dark Moon Ring.

    * This ring is the 'Ring of Oath' that you can use to progress from
      'Grand Cloister'
