Shinobido: Way of the Ninja (PlayStation 2)

Acquire developed the original Tenchu in 1998, followed by Tenchu 2 in 2000. The franchise was handed over to K2 LLC, who did a good job with 'Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven' in 2003. FromSoftware made Fatal Shadows, and the two developers then proceeded to make gradually worse sequels, culminating in 2006 with the uninspired Tenchu Z. Meanwhile, Acquire created the Shinobido series in 2005, which very much feels like a spiritual follow-up to Tenchu 2. This is the first game in the series, and it is very similar indeed to the Tenchu series.
